Action will be taken against hospitals not treating patients under Mukhyamantri Chiranjeevi Yojana – Health Minister

 


Jaipur, June 22.Health Minister Dr Raghu Sharma said that Mukhyamantri Chiranjeevi scheme was started on May 1, 2021 keeping in mind to fulfil the dream of Nirogi Rajasthan (Healthy Rajasthan) and objective of Universal Health Coverage. Complaints have been received against a few private hospitals that are refusing treatment to patients despite being registered with Mukhyamantri Chiranjeevi scheme. Strict action will be taken against the hospitals found guilty after getting the complaints checked.

Lodge complaint on 181

Dr Sharma said that the general public can lodge complaints on CM Helpline number 181 about the hospitals violating the guidelines, refusing treatment or demanding money for treatment. He said the victim can also lodge complaints offline at the office of Rajasthan State Health Insurance Agency and CMHO office.

Will be disposed in maximum three days

The Health Minister said that complaints related to Mukhyamantri Chiranjeevi scheme would be resolved on the same day or within a maximum of three days. He said that the complaints received on CM Helpline number 181 will be sent immediately to the CMHO office and the process will be started. At the same time, after resolving the complaint, the applicant will also be informed by uploading it on the portal 181 . He said that the complaints which are not resolved within the stipulated period due to any reason would be resolved by the district collector during the weekly review.

Action will be taken mandatorily

Health Department principal secretary Shri Akhil Arora has issued orders to set Standard Operating Procedure (SOP) for speedy disposal of complaints received against private hospitals. According to these orders, action will be taken mandatorily against the hospitals violating the guidelines. He said that the State Health Insurance Chief Executive Officer would fortnightly review the pending complaints and after resolving the problem, the information would be uploaded on the portal 181.
