This decision of Mr Gehlot will benefit 4.40 lakh pensioners along with around 8 lakh
officers-employees receiving salary on the basis of Rajasthan Civil Services
(Revised Pay) Rules-2017. Apart from the Government employees, this benefit
will also be payable to the employees of Panchayat Samiti and Zila Parishad.
The amount of the
increased dearness allowance of the employees from January 1, 2022 to March 31,
2022 will be deposited in their General Provident Fund,
General Provident Fund-2004 or General Provident Fund-SAB Account. It
will be paid in cash from the April 2022 salary, which will be paid in May
2022.
It is to be mentioned
that with the announcement of an increase in the Dearness Allowance by the
Central Government on Wednesday, the Chief Minister also decided to increase
the rate of Dearness Allowance of the State Employees by 3% with immediate
effect. The State Government will bear the financial burden of around Rs 1435
crore annually with this increase.
