Dearness Allowance of State Employees Increased by 3% similar to Centre


Jaipur, March 31. Chief Minister Mr Ashok Gehlot has approved the increase in the Dearness Allowance by 3% of the State Government employees and pensioners on similar lines as the Centre. Now the 34% Dearness Allowance and Dearness Relief will be payable to the State employees and pensioners from January 1, 2022. Earlier, the Government employees and pensioners were being given 31% Dearness Allowance and Dearness Relief.

 

This decision of Mr Gehlot will benefit 4.40 lakh pensioners along with around 8 lakh officers-employees receiving salary on the basis of Rajasthan Civil Services (Revised Pay) Rules-2017. Apart from the Government employees, this benefit will also be payable to the employees of Panchayat Samiti and Zila Parishad.

 

The amount of the increased dearness allowance of the employees from January 1, 2022 to March 31, 2022 will be deposited in their General Provident Fund,        General Provident Fund-2004 or General Provident Fund-SAB Account. It will be paid in cash from the April 2022 salary, which will be paid in May 2022.

 

It is to be mentioned that with the announcement of an increase in the Dearness Allowance by the Central Government on Wednesday, the Chief Minister also decided to increase the rate of Dearness Allowance of the State Employees by 3% with immediate effect. The State Government will bear the financial burden of around Rs 1435 crore annually with this increase.
