More than 10 crore people administered corona vaccines in Rajasthan



Jaipur, March 13.Health Minister Mr Parsadi Lal Meena congratulating the health workers and paramedical staff for administering more than 10 crore corona vaccines across the State praised them with an open heart for their work. He also praised the general public for extending cooperation in fighting the corona pandemic. 

The Health Minister said that till now 98.4% of people have been administered the first dose and more than 84% of people have been administered both doses. He said till Sunday evening 10 crore 10 thousand 389 vaccine doses have been administered. He said that corona vaccines have been administered to 9 crore 33 lakh 6 thousand 537 people above the age of 18 years, to 53 lakh 33 thousand 725 people aged between 15 and 18 years and 13 lakh 73 thousand 127 a have been administered the precaution doses. 

Mr Meena said that Rajasthan after corona management is also leading in corona vaccination with other States in the country. The health personnel without caring about their lives fulfilled the responsibility of providing a security shield in the form of the vaccine to the general public. 

The Health Minister said that 5 crore 6 lakh 72 thousand 654 people have been administered the first dose and 4 crore 26 lakh 33 thousand 883 people have been administered both doses in the State. He said cent percent people in more than 20 districts including Pratapgarh, Kota, Jaipur-I and II, Bundi, Sawai Madhopur, Alwar and Sikar have been administered the first dose of corona vaccine. He said Rajasthan is on the sixth position in administering the precaution dose and 53.9% have been inoculated with the precaution dose. 



The Health Minister said that Rajasthan in regard to vaccination is in a better position compared to other States. He said Rajasthan is on the seventh position after Uttar Pradesh, Maharashtra, West Bengal, Bihar, Madhya Pradesh and Tamil Nadu, where such a large number of vaccinations have been done. 

Mr Meena said that vaccination will be done by carrying out campaigns and making people aware in those districts where cent percent vaccination has not taken place. He said Pratapgarh was one such district where 100% of people have been administered both doses of the vaccine. He said that the other districts would also do the work of vaccination by adopting the Pratapgarh Model. He said that at present the State Government has a stock of more than 44.5 lakh vaccines.  


The Health Minister said that vaccination was started in the State by inoculating the health workers at 167 session places from January 16, 2021. Vaccination was started for the Frontline Workers on February 2, 2021, and from March 1, 2021, for the people above 60 years and 45 to 59 years suffering from any serious disease. He said that vaccination for all people above the age of 45 years was started from April 1, 2021.

The Health Minister said that on the initiative of Chief Minister Mr Ashok Gehlot, free Covid vaccination of people aged 18 years to 44 years was started from May 1, 2021. He said that the Rajasthan Government by purchasing vaccines worth Rs 101 crore saved the lives of the people of the State. After this, the Government of India from June 21, 2021, started free vaccination of people aged 18 years and above. 

The Health Minister said that Chief Minister Shri Ashok Gehlot had suggested the Prime Minister for administering booster doses to beneficiaries aged less than 18 years and 60 years and above. As a result, vaccination was started for children aged 15 to 18 years from January 3, 2022, and administering precaution dose to the healthcare workers, frontline workers and beneficiaries aged 60 years and above suffering from serious diseases was started from January 10 this year.
