56TH AWWA DAY CELEBRATIONS AT JAIPUR MILITARY STATION



 

Jaipur, 23 August. AWWA Day was celebrated on 23 Aug  at Jaipur Military Station to commemorate the 56th Anniversary of establishment of Army Wives Welfare Association.

 

            The theme of AWWA Day 2022 was ‘In Stride with the Future’. The week long celebrations culminated in a central function, wherein Veer Naris and other members of the fraternity were felicitated and the awards for AWWA excellence were presented to the achievers in the fields of women empowerment, community outreach, education of women and children, green initiative, waste management and health & wellness. The function was presided over by Mrs Ravneet Bhinder, Regional President AWWA, Sapta Shakti Command and was enthusiastically attended by over 500 members of the AWWA fraternity.

 

            Multitude of activities were conducted in the run up to the AWWA Day Celebrations including a workshop on ‘Best Out of Waste’, a theme based painting competition for school children, awareness lectures on entitlement benefits to Veterans, Veer Naris and Widows and a Blood Donation Camp. Mrs Ravneet Bhinder reaffirmed the pledge that AWWA’s motto of ‘Asha, Vishwas, Aastha’ will guide and motivate all members of Sapta Shakti AWWA fraternity to commit themselves to the genuine welfare and empowerment of the Army families.
