Jaipur, Dec 18. Indian Air Force (IAF), Combined Graduation Parade was held at the Air Force Academy, Dundigal in Telangana yesterday.
Flying Officer Tanya Singh who belongs to Jaipur was adjudged the best cadet in navigation branch. Flying officer Tanya has followed the footsteps of her father to become a second generation officer in the armed forces. From looking upto other women officers to becoming an officer herself, Flying Officer Tanya Singh hopes to help in charting the course of other young aspirants and fulfilling their dreams.
The parade was reviewed by Raksha Mantri Shri Rajnath Singh, wherein Raksha Mantri conferred the President's Commission on the graduating Flight Cadets. The graduating officers included 25 women who were commissioned in various branches of the IAF. Eight officers from the Indian Navy, nine from the Indian Coast Guard and two from friendly countries were also awarded ‘Wings’ following the completion of their flying training.
