CBI REGISTERS KAMLESH PRAJAPAT CASE

  


New Delhi , 9 July .The Central Bureau of Investigation has registered a case on the request of Govt. of Rajasthan & further Notification from Govt. of India for transfer of the investigation of FIR No. 136/2021 dated 23.04.2021, earlier registered at Police Station Sadar, Barmer(Rajasthan).

  It was alleged that police conducted raid at the residence of Shri Kamlesh Prajapat at Barmer in connection with a case of attempt to murder on SHO Pali (Rajasthan).  It was also alleged that while the police team was waiting for Mr Kamlesh Prajapat to come out of his residence, he allegedly tried to flee by breaking open his backside gate by his vehicle and is said to have tried to run over the police party.

 It was also alleged that during the incident, the police fired on Shri Kamlesh Prajapat. One constable was allegedly injured by the vehicle of Mr Kamlesh Prajapat. Both were taken to hospital by the police where Shri Kamlesh Prajapat succumbed to bullet injuries. 

It was further alleged that the police conducted search at his house and recovered narcotic drugs, arms & ammunitions, and cash of Rs. 56.69 lakh(approx).  Accordingly, the police registered the FIR regarding the incident and also recovery of said items.

The Govt. of Rajasthan recommended for CBI investigation in the said FIR and Government of India issued Notification for investigation relating to said FIR pertaining to death of Shri Kamlesh Prajapat and in attempt, abatement and / or conspiracy, in relation to or in connection with such offence(s) and / or for any other offence committed in the course of the same transaction or arising out of the same facts.

CBI team has reached the location for conducting further investigation
