Jaipur, December 3 Health Minister Mr Parsadi Lal Meena released a poster on International Day of Persons with Disabilities on Friday. He met Akshita and Anisha, the girls who had recently undergone cochlear implant surgery at the SMS hospital.
The Health Minister while releasing the poster expressed gratitude to Chief Minister Shri Ashok Gehlot and said that the free programme of cochlear implant in Rajasthan was started with the efforts of Shri Gehlot that has benefitted many children in the State.
The Health Minister said that 660 cochlear implant surgeries have taken place till now in SMS Hospital and the model programme of Rajasthan has become an excellent example for the entire country. He said that now this facility of the cochlear implant has been started in Jodhpur, Bikaner, Udaipur, Ajmer, Kota and Jaipuria Hospital apart from SMS Medical College.
SMS Medical College Principal Dr Sudhir Bhandari, Dr Sunil Samdhani, Dr Sunita Agrawal, Dr Rekha Harshvardhan, Dr Mohnish Grover and Dr kailash were present on this occasion.
