258th RAISING DAY OF ARMY MEDICAL CORPS CELEBRATED AT JAIPUR

Jaipur, 3 April .Sapta Shakti command celebrated 258th raising day of Army Medical Corps on  3rd  Apr 2022. On the occasion Military Hospital, Jaipur organised various events for the troops & their families as well as felicitated veterans of the Corps. 


The Indian Army Medical Corps (IAMC) came into existence as a homogenous Corps of Officers and men on 03 April 1943 by the amalgamation of the Indian Medical Service (IMS), Indian Medical Department (IMD) and Indian Hospital Corps (IHC).  After independence, the IAMC was renamed as Army Medical Corps (AMC). The importance of this date is further highlighted by the fact that the then President, Dr S Radhakrishnan had presented the Presidential colours to the Corps on 03 April 1966.

The Army Medical Corps has a glorious past and has been providing yeoman service to its clientele by delivering quality medical service with utmost dedication, commitment and professionalism.  In addition, it also delivers the highest level of preventive, promotive, curative and rehabilitative care with compassion to the servicemen, veterans and families of the Armed Forces.

On the occasion of the Army Medical Corps Day, Lt Gen AS Bhinder, General officer Commanding in chief, Sapta Shakti Command lauded the spirit of selflessness of all the members of the Army Medical Corps & wished them many more laurels in years to come while living up to their motto of “SARVE SANTU NIRAMAYA”  in their quest for excellence.
