Rajasthan Film Tourism Promotion Policy Approved

Jaipur, April 6. The cabinet meeting was held under the chairmanship of Chief Minister Mr Ashok Gehlot at his official residence on Wednesday in which many important decisions were taken including giving approval to Rajasthan Film Tourism Promotion Policy-2022 with an objective to promote Rajasthan as Film Destination, along with constituting Public Financial Management Training Society and to form a cadre of Vice-Principal in Senior Secondary Schools.

The cabinet has approved Rajasthan Film Tourism Promotion Policy-2022 to promote filmmaking activities in the State. This decision of the cabinet will promote the film shooting in the State. This will encourage the conservation of art and culture along with creating employment opportunities in various fields related to films. The tourist spots of Rajasthan will get publicised in the country and the world through films. 

It is to be mentioned Rajasthan has always been a favourite destination for national and international filmmakers. The filmmakers have always been eager to shoot films at various locations including world famous forts-palaces, havelis, deserts and sanctuaries in Rajasthan. Provisions for financial assistance, awards and cash prizes have been proposed through this policy to promote filmmaking in Rajasthani language. Besides this, it has also been proposed to give financial benefits and grants to domestic and international filmmakers for shooting in Rajasthan. 

In the meeting, it was also decided to name the Free IPD and OPD Treatment Scheme at all the government medical institutions including sub centres, primary health centres, community health centres, sub district hospitals, district hospitals and hospitals attached to medical colleges as ‘Mukhyamantri Nishulk Nirogi Rajasthan Yojana’ (Chief Minister Free Healthy Rajasthan Scheme). It is to be mentioned that Chief Minister Shri Ashok Gehlot in this financial year budget had announced to provide free IPD and OPD treatment in all the government medical institutions in the State.

The cabinet decided to constitute a Public Financial Management Training Society. The best Public Financial Management and Training Institute proposed by the Society will be managed. The capacity of government officers-employees and other stakeholders will be further made holistic and comprehensive. This Society will be registered under the Rajasthan Society Registration Act-1958. 

The cabinet also approved the Rajasthan Educational (State and Subordinate) Service Rules (Second Amendment)-2022. With this, a cadre of the post of Vice-Principal (Level-14) can be established to improve the supervision and smooth operation of Government Senior Secondary Schools. This will increase the promotion opportunities in the department and will bring more clarity in the future in the promotion channel. 

Amendment in the Rajasthan District Court Clerical Establishment Rules-1986 (Rule 7-C) was approved in the cabinet. With this decision of the cabinet, the expression of ‘outstanding sportsperson’ as prescribed in this rule will be given more clarity and comprehensiveness, due to which eligible sportspersons will have better opportunities. 

The cabinet has decided to appoint Rajasthan State Road Development and Construction Corporation (RSRDC) as the executive agency for the construction of the Mini Secretariat in Sriganganagar. With this, the construction of the Mini Secretariat can be done through RSRDC
