'Invest Rajasthan-2022' to be held on 7 and 8 October,

Jaipur, May 6. Chief Minister Mr Ashok Gehlot said that Rajasthan has great potential for investors. The positive atmosphere here attracts investors from all over the country and the world. We must work together to strengthen the Rajasthan's image with the slogan 'Padharo Mhare Desh', so that investors do not face any kind of problem. He said that 'Invest Rajasthan' will be organised on 7th and 8th October 2022 at 'Jaipur Exhibition and Convention Center' in Sitapura. He directed all the departments to work together and finalise the preparations soon.

Mr Gehlot was addressing a review meeting on the preparations for 'Invest Rajasthan-2022' at the Chief Minister's residence on Friday. He said that the State Government launched the ambitious Invest Rajasthan to further increase the flow of investment in the State. This will involve over 3000 investors in physical form and more than 5000 in virtual form. This presence will further bolster industrial development in Rajasthan.

The Chief Minister said that roadshows and investor connect programmes were organized across the country for Invest Rajasthan. As many as 4192 MoUs and LOIs have been received for the proposed investment of Rs 10.45 lakh crore, which has potential to provide employment to more than 9.69 lakh people in the state. He directed the officers of the Industries Department to ensure that maximum employment is provided to the locals from the investors.

It is worth mentioning that for Invest Rajasthan, road shows and investor summits were organized in various districts of Rajasthan along with Delhi, Ahmedabad, Mumbai, Bengaluru, Kolkata, Hyderabad, Chennai, Dubai and the USA.

Mr Gehlot directed the District Collectors to hold regular meetings with the investors of their districts. Encourage them for industrial development of the district, as well as resolve their problems immediately. Also explore the possibilities of future development through meetings. He directed the 'Invest Rajasthan' organizing team to give the event a wide publicity.

He said that tourism has been given industry status in the budget announcement. This initiative of Rajasthan is now a topic of discussion all over the country. Therefore, tourism department should also be included in the upcoming roadshows of Invest Rajasthan.

Additional Chief Secretary, Industries and Commerce Mrs. Vinu Gupta said that in the series of Connect programmes of Invest Rajasthan, a golf event has been planned in Jaipur in coordination with Japan External Trade Organization (JETRO), Also, road shows will be organized at Medical Device Park of Visakhapatnam, Petroleum, Chemicals and Petrochemicals Investment Region of Vadodara and Fintech Park in Gurugram. Along with this, international road shows will also be organized in Japan and South Korea. He said that concerted efforts are being made to get the MoUs signed for Invest Rajasthan on ground.

In the meeting, Commissioner BIP Shri Inderjit Singh said that work has started in total 129 projects under MoU and LOI with a total investment of Rs 1278 crore.

Industries Minister Smt. Shakuntala Rawat, Chief Secretary Smt. Usha Sharma, Principal Secretary Finance Mr Akhil Arora, RIICO Managing Director Smt. Archana Singh, Industries and Commerce Commissioner Mr Mahendra Parakh, Commissioner BIP Shri Inderjit Singh, Additional Commissioner Smt. Nalini Kathotia and others were present.
