State Cabinet Meeting;Kanhaiyalal's sons to get government job, nod to relax rules

Jaipur, July 6. Chief Minister Mr  Ashok Gehlot chaired the State Cabinet meeting at his official residence on Wednesday.  Relaxation to get government jobs to the sons of Shri Kanhaiyalal, who died in the Udaipur incident.

The Cabinet has decided to give appointments in government service to Yash Teli and Tarun Teli, the sons of Kanhaiyalal, who died in the terror incident in Udaipur. Relaxation has been given in the rules to give an appointment. This appointment will be given under Rajasthan Subordinate Office Clerical Grade Service (Amendment) Rules, 2008 and Section 6C of 2009. The bereaving family lost their sole earning member in the heinous incident, thus leaving no other source of livelihood. Hence, by giving appointments to the dependents, the family will get economic and mental support.

It is to be noted that a dependent of such person who died in the year 1992 or later in incidents of insurgency, terrorist attacks, agitations, sit-ins, demonstrations and rallies, can be given appointment. In such a situation, one of the sons can be given an appointment on compassionate grounds as per rules. With this decision, other dependents, too, can get the appointment.@ashokgehlot51
