JOIN THE INDIAN ARMY – BICYCLE EXPEDITION” FLAGGING IN CEREMONY

  

Jaipur, 12 August .  Join the Indian Army Bicycle expedition was Flagged in at Jaipur Military Station by Maj Gen Sanjay Malik, Chief Engineer, Sapta Shakti Command on 12 August 22.

 

            The cycling expedition team led by Maj Varun Singh, Sena Medal and 11 members of Sarvada Agrani Brigade commenced their journey from Bathinda on 01 Aug 22 and traversed a distance of 485 kilometers over 12 days while roving through the towns of Nateha, Fatehabad, Hissar, Nangal Chaudhary, Pragpura and Manoharpur.

 

            During the course of the expedition, the team visited various educational institutes and conducted lectures motivating the students about the various entry schemes for joining the Indian Army. In consonance with the ongoing Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav, celebrating 75 years of Indian Independence, the expedition team also interacted with the veterans enroute and expressed gratitude for their contribution in service of the Nation. The expedition provided an ideal platform to the team members to catch a glimpse of the rich history and culture of the states of Punjab, Haryana and Rajasthan.
