BITS-PILANI ALUMNI GLOBAL MEET FROM 6 TO 8 JANUARY



                                          


Jaipur, 5 January: The 5th edition of BITS-Pilani Alumni Global Meet 2023 (BGM 2023) is being jointly organized by Birla International and BITSAA Jaipur Chapter to be held from 6 to 8 January 2023 at Birla Auditorium in Jaipur.


Chairman, BGM 2023, Kailash Gupta informed the Chief Guest on the inaugural will be Hon'ble Governor of West Bengal, Dr. C V Ananda Bose and guest of honor will be Anil Agarwal (IPS – Additional Secretary, DPIIT Govt. of India); Kumar Mangalam Birla, Chancellor BITS Pilani will be addressing the alumni during the meet. BGM, one of its kind meet will feature speakers who have built successful empires and have emerged as inspiration to society as well as the coming generation – Dr. Gulab Kothari chief editor Patrika; Anil Agarwal (IPS 88 UP Cadre - Startup India Champion); 


Dr. G. Ravindra Kumar, (Tata Institute of Fundamental Research Professor Emeritus); Harish Bhat (Brand Custodian, Tata Sons); Dr. Ranjan Kumar Mohapatra, Director HR (Indian Oil Corporation Limited); Preethy Padmanabhan (Senior Director, Freshworks), Dr. Satya Gupta. Rakesh Verma (Co-founder, Map My India); Vinod Saraf (Executive Chairman, Vinati Organics); Supriya Bhosale, Sqn Ldr (Veteran) Head, DSGS Program Directorate, Dassault Systèmes; Dr Rakesh Suri, Founder President, Computer Shiksha; Ashok Mittal (Mentor) are some who will share their wisdom and experience.


‘Envisioning India @ 2047’ a session in which different leaders will envision a roadmap for India’s transformation in the next 25 years. A flagship session 'Pilani Sharks' - in which on spot funding will be offered to top 10 BITS Alumni startups. 


‘Jay Vigyan, Jay Anusandhan’ – a session to discuss the frontiers of knowledge and shaping the future will be discussed keeping in mind disruptive technologies, Scientific Breakthroughs and Innovations for Net Zero. A Social Arena is being set up in which BITSian while doing wonders and making a difference in our day-to-day life through their ventures, have not forgotten their social responsibilities. We present some BITSian NGOs engaged in the task of providing education, health care, disaster relief, skill development and women empowerment, enabling self-reliance, job creation etc. 


A wonderful way to give back to society. Zara Hat Ke a session to introduce and honor BITSIANS celebrities in non-traditional fields such as Comedy, Dance, Music, Theatre, Wellness. ‘Udaan’ celebrates empowerment of BITSIANS women who have unleashed their potential, shattered many a glass ceiling and won laurels in diverse fields. Members cross batches, cross campus and cross streams will talk about their journey, learnings and achievements. Coming from diverse fields of films, technology, literature, artists, fashion, social service it will be shown not to be missed! ‘White Tigers of Pilani’ a session in which BITSians who have truly made it and made it real BIG! talking of Unicorns! will be sharing their stories.


CEO, BGM 2023, Alok Jain informed that this edition of BGM will see more than 1500 alumni coming together under one roof to share their experiences and relive old memories. Signature Polo Match on 8 January, Workshops, Haat Bazaar with Spouse Zone, Exhibition of Startups – which will be open for public on 8 January from 11.30 am to 7.30 pm; Cultural Events - Cultural Program by talented BITSIANS in a series of and renowned musical band 'Indian Ocean' to perform live.
