The veterans’ rally is dedicated to honour the yeoman service of the veterans of the Armed Forces. The Ex-servicemen Rally promises to be a day of tribute, camaraderie and gratitude, bringing together Ex-servicemen, Veer Naris and Next of Kins of Battle Casualties/ Physical Casualties residing in various districts of Rajasthan. The event will provide a one stop solution for the grievances of the veteran community and it will be a unique platform to establish connect with the veterans to address various challenges in the fields of healthcare, re-employment, education and job opportunities for veterans & Next of Kin.
The veterans will be provided transport facility from designated venues to the rally location. Refreshment and lunch will also be catered for all the attendees. Various departments of Ministry of Defence like Pay and Allowances (PAO), respective Regimental Pension Departments, ECHS, Army Welfare Placement Organisation, District Sainik Board, Department of Indian Army Veterans (DIAV), Indian Air Force and Indian Navy will also be establishing their grievance stalls in the rally. Apart from this, various banks, State Government Employment Department will also place their awareness stalls for assistance of Ex-Servicemen. A job fair has also been planned at rally site.
The rally is a symbol of continuous support & regular communication with our veterans following the ethos of the Armed Forces about ‘Taking care of Our Own No Matter What’. The event will be attended by Lieutenant General Dhiraj Seth, Ati Vishisht Seva Medal, Army Commander South Western Command and various dignitaries from Ministry of Defence and the Armed Forces
