Performance of State is much better than the national average in regard to vaccination


Jaipur, November 11.Health Minister Dr Raghu Sharma said that Rajasthan in regard to corona vaccination is performing much better than the national average. 83% of people have been administered the first dose and 48.9% people have been administered the second dose in the State. He said that efforts would be made for the cent per cent vaccination by making a special action plan and increasing the number of vaccination camps in the less vaccinated districts.


Dr Sharma was taking part in the review meeting of the vaccination campaign being held by Union Health Minister Shri Mansukh Mandaviya on Thursday. He said that Rajasthan has topped in every regard from corona management to vaccination. Vaccination is being done on a large scale in the ongoing Prashashan Sheharon and Gaon ke Sang campaigns. He said that people who were deprived of the corona vaccine will be vaccinated on a large scale through 12,000 camps in Chiranjeevi Health Camps starting from November 14.



Dr Sharma said that beneficiaries deprived of the first and second dose of covid vaccine are being identified by conducting a door-to-door survey under ‘Har Ghar Dastak’ campaign being carried out from November 3. He said cent per cent vaccination has been done in more than 3,000 villages in the State under this campaign, whereas the teams of the Health Department are visiting and vaccinating the general public in 22,000 villages.


The Health Minister said that till November 10, against the targeted population of the State, more than 6.36 lakh people have been administered the first dose and more than 2 crore 8 lakh 72 thousand people have been administered both doses of the vaccine. He said that soon 87.34 lakh beneficiaries of 18 years and above will be administered the first dose and around 1.03 crore beneficiaries will be administered the second dose.


Health Ministers and administrative officers of all States in the country taking part in the meeting apprised the Union Health Minister about the progress of ongoing vaccination camps.
