Identify and Take Strict Action Against The Elements Damaging The Communal Harmony: Chief Minister

Jaipur, April 3. Chief Minister Mr Ashok Gehlot said that in case of any incident that damages communal harmony in the State, the police shoul identify the elements involved in the incident and take strict action against them. He said that criminal should not be spared if found involved in any crime irrespective of his religion, caste or class. 

Mr  Gehlot was chairing a high-level review meeting at his residence on Sunday keeping in view the incident in Karauli. He said that police should take preventive steps to maintain peace and order by being pro-active so that a Karauli like incident does not occur anywhere in the State. Strict action should be taken by identifying hardcore criminals at the level of every police station. He directed to create an atmosphere of peace among various communities with the help of the Community Liaison Group (CLG) and promote community policing.

The Chief Minister took feedback from Rural Development and Panchayati Raj Minister Shri Ramesh Meena and Minister of State for Home Shri Rajendra Singh Yadav about the incident. Director General of Police Shri ML Lathar briefed about the incident that took place in Karauli and the action taken by the police so far. 

Chief Secretary Smt Usha Sharma, Additional Chief Secretary Home Mr Abhay Kumar, DG Intelligence Mr Umesh Mishra, ADG Crime Mr RP Meharda, ADG Law and Order Mr Hawa Singh Ghumaria and other officers were present in the meeting.
