Jaipur, 27 September .Army Equestrial Championship commenced at 61 Cavalry Polo Ground Jaipur on 26 Sep 2022. The event is scheduled from 26 Sep to 10 Oct 2022.
61 Cavalry representing South Western Command on the first day of ‘Army Equestrian Championship’ won one gold and two bronze in team events and one gold, two silver and three bronze in individual dressage, jumping and tent pegging events.
In team events, Cavalry won Bronze medals in ‘Tent Pegging Lance’ and ‘Tent Pegging Sword’ events. Tent Pegging Lance team comprised of Dafedar Modh Abrar, Dafedar Ranjeet Shinde, LD Bonge Ganesh and Swr Ganesh W, while the Tent Pegging Sword team comprised of LDG Narayan, LD Ishtiyak Khan, Swr Akram Khan and Swr Rajesh Turkar.
Team of Lt Col Danni Swittens, Maj Apurva, Maj Deepanshu Sheoran and Capt Yashdeep Ahalawat won gold medal in Elementary Dressage. The individual winners comprised of Lt Col Danni, Maj Apurva, Capt Yashdeep and Swr Narender.
