Jaipur,  16 Dec .South Western Command celebrated Vijay Diwas on 16 December 2023 at all military stations to commemorate the victory of Indian Armed Forces over Pakistan in the 1971 war.

            On this occasion, Lieutenant General Dhiraj Seth, Ati Vishisht Seva Medal, Army Commander, Sapta Shakti Command paid homage to the Bravehearts by laying a wreath at Prerna Sthal, Jaipur.

            The Army Commander greeted all ranks of South Western Command on the occasion and exhorted them to remain eternally vigilant and to emulate the devotion and resoluteness of the War Heroes & Bravehearts, which led the Indian Army to the pinnacle of professional glory in the 1971 war.

            A special book release event was organised at Sapta Shakti Auditorium to mark the Vijay Diwas celebrations. The Army Commander released the book ‘Sagat’, a biography on Lieutenant General Sagat Singh, Padma Bhushan, Param Vishisht Seva Medal authored by Major Chandrakant Singh, Vir Chakra (Retired). The book release was attended by the officers of Jaipur Military Station and the journalist fraternity of Jaipur. The book is an honest tribute to Lieutenant General Sagat Singh and his heroic contribution to India’s Victory in 1971 war.
